Job description
Total Group of Companies is an industrial service company specializing in fire, rescue, medical, and HSE services across Canada.
We are seeking an experienced Skid Steer and Telehandler Operator who is also willing to assist with general labour duties as required. This is a long-term opportunity requiring an individual who can safely operate equipment while also assisting with general site activities as required.
Location: Keeseekoose First Nation and Cote First Nation, Saskatchewan
Employment Type: Full-Time, Project-Based
Project Duration: Approximately 3–6 years
Wage: $30.00 per hour
LOA: $60 per day
Accommodations: Provided, likely in Yorkton
Under the supervision of the on-site project leadership team, duties may include:
Safely operate a skid steer for material handling, loading, grading, cleanup, and other assigned site activities
Operate a telehandler or Zoom Boom when required
Complete daily equipment inspections and report any defects or maintenance concerns
Follow site-specific operating procedures, traffic plans, and equipment safety requirements
Load, move, and organize construction materials and debris
Assist with general labour and site cleanup when equipment operation is not required
Participate in toolbox meetings, orientations, and pre-job safety meetings
Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents, and equipment concerns
Wear and maintain all required personal protective equipment
Work safely around other equipment, vehicles, workers, and community areas
Follow instructions and work cooperatively as part of the project team
Job requirements
Applicants must currently hold both of the following:
Skid Steer Operator Certification
Telehandler or Zoom Boom Operator Certification
Certifications must confirm completion of the applicable operator training and competency assessment.
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be legally authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SIN
Hold a valid driver’s licence
Have reliable transportation
Be able to provide a clean or satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Be physically capable of performing general labour duties
Be available to work on-site for the required project schedule
Be safety-minded and able to follow directions
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Have strong communication skills and a positive attitude
