Job description
Total Group of Companies is seeking experienced, professional Security Guards for a long-term restoration project in Saskatchewan. This project is supported by integrated Safety, Security, Rescue and Medical teams.
We are looking for confident, level-headed individuals who can maintain a strong security presence while treating residents, coworkers and community members with dignity and respect. This role requires excellent judgment, discretion and the ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive situations.
Responsibilities
Monitor and control access to designated project areas
Conduct regular patrols of buildings, properties and surrounding areas
Help protect residents, workers, property and project equipment
Identify and respond appropriately to security concerns or unusual activity
De-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally
Document incidents, observations and daily activities accurately
Communicate effectively with site management and the Safety, Rescue and Medical teams
Maintain confidentiality regarding residents, properties and project activities
Follow all site-specific security procedures and emergency response protocols
Contribute to a respectful, professional and community-conscious work environment
Job requirements
Qualifications
Valid Saskatchewan Security Guard license or ability to meet provincial licensing requirements
Previous security experience, preferably on an industrial, construction, restoration or remote project
Strong situational awareness and sound decision-making skills
Confident and assertive without being confrontational
Demonstrated professionalism, maturity and discretion
Respectful communication skills and the ability to work with people from different backgrounds
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries
Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Able to work rotational shifts, including days, nights and weekends
Willing and able to travel to and remain at a remote project location for the duration of each rotation
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract
Ability to pass project-specific pre-employment screening
