Job description

Total Group of Companies (TGC), is an industrial service company specializing in fire, rescue, medical, HSE and training services.   

 

TGC is actively seeking registered RN’s and LPN’s for an upcoming restoration project in Saskatchewan.

Project Overview 

  • Provide 24/7 industrial medical coverage for a remote project site(s) in Saskatchewan. 

  • Support worker health, safety, and emergency preparedness in remote project operations. 

  • Align with OHS legislation, CSA standards, and company emergency response protocols. 

 

Rotation

  • Typical rotation: 2–3 weeks on / 1–2 weeks off (flexible based on project scope). 

  • On-site RN’s/LPN’s must remain available for on-call emergency response during shifts. 

  • Maintain adaptability for extended stays if required by project needs (e.g., weather delays). 

  • Operate and maintain mobile treatment centers. 

 

Travel Requirements 

  • Travel via charter flights, road, or helicopter. 

  • Mobilization and demobilization logistics coordinated by TGC. 

  • Must be prepared for limited/seasonal accessibility (ice roads, weather delays). 

  • Possess valid driver’s license and ability to operate company or emergency vehicles if needed. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Emergency Response: First aid, trauma stabilization, and coordination with evacuation services. 

  • Medical Oversight: Monitor worker health, manage medications, conduct fit-for-work checks. 

  • Preventive Care: Conduct wellness checks, hydration/nutrition guidance, and fatigue monitoring. 

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate incident, treatment, and exposure reports per company/OHS requirements. 

  • Safety Support: Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and incident investigations. 

  • Collaboration: Work with site safety officers, supervisors, and project managers. 

 

Equipment & Resources 

  • Fully equipped first aid/medical treatment room or mobile medic unit. 

  • AED, oxygen therapy, trauma kits, spine boards, and patient transport equipment. 

  • Telemedicine capability for physician consultation. 

  • Satellite communication for emergency coordination. 

 

Working Conditions 

  • Potentially harsh climates (extreme cold, snow, limited daylight in winter). 

  • Extended hours, rotational lifestyle, and remote camp living. 

  • Must be self-sufficient, resilient, and adaptable to isolation.

Job requirements

Qualifications & Certifications 

  • RN BSN degree or LPN diploma with a minimum of 1 year of experience and actively registered within Saskatchewan.

  • Basic Oilfield Safety Tickets (H2S, Common Safety Orientation, WHMIS, all an asset. Potentially willing to offer training for the right candidate)

  • Other certifications to be discussed as new project requirements arise
