The Total Group of Companies is actively seeking a full time Fire Extinguisher Technician and Shop Manager to start as soon as possible. This is a full time, permanent position that requires occasional evening or weekend work.

 

Under the direct supervision of the VP of Operations, daily task and activities include but are not limited to:

 

·        Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance (at the shop and in the field)

·        Perform general shop duties

·        Occasional field work

·        Driving to client sites

·        Working with pressurized systems / chemicals

·        Explain inspection results or service needs to clients

·        Ensure customers are notified when things are ready for pickup

·        Oversee shop workflow and ensure all employees are wearing proper PPE

·        Monitor Technician performance

·        Ensure records are logged and stored properly

·        Write and email customer invoices

·        Keep an accurate count of current inventory and place orders when needed

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

 

·        Authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SIN

·        Be 19 years of age or older

·        Have a valid drivers licence with a minimum of 3 years driving experience

·        Be able to produce a satisfactory driving abstract

·        Be physically fit with the ability to lift 50-75 lbs consistently
Be able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including working at heights

·        Be willing and able to travel out of town

·        Be willing and able to work outdoor, in varying weather conditions

·        Be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

·        Possess standard safety certifications
