Location: Firehall 10, University of British Columbia (UBC)
Duration: July 1st to July 23rd, 2025
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8 hours/day
Wage: $24.00/hour
Transportation: Must provide own transportation to and from the job site

Job Overview:
We are hiring a Data Entry Clerk to support our fire hose testing project at UBC. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately recording test results and maintaining detailed digital records in alignment with NFPA 1962 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter hose serial numbers, test pressures, durations, and pass/fail results into digital spreadsheets or databases

  • Cross-reference data with physical labels and inspection sheets

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all entries

  • Organize, label, and file electronic records for future access

  • Communicate with the on-site supervisor to resolve discrepancies or unclear information

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all records

  • Assist with general admin or support tasks related to the project, as needed

Job requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Experience with data entry, Excel, and basic digital file management

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full project duration

  • Laptop with Excel or Google Sheets access is an asset

  • Previous administrative or field documentation experience is preferred
